After a Centuries of Dentistry. Prevention Remains Best

  The vast majority of dental morbidity derives from tooth decay and/or gum disease. Most entistry is reparative in nature and patients choose their treatments from restorative disciplines. his article reviews the principles which dictate the evolved pragmatic policies of dentistry, appraises techniques available in the 21st century, and stresses how preventive strategies that aspire to emulate optimal nature are better than elected interventional reparative treatments. Prevention remains the best cure of all.
